Deadmau5, David Guetta Working on Britney Spears' New Album?

I heard this Deadmau5 Britney Spears rumor late last year... And thought that would sound amazing if it were true. So I decided to do a little research and the result?

I have yet to find any real evidence of this.

The most I could find out about this rumor is "supposedly" someone was at a private event in which Deadmau5 threw down the track in question that happened to have Britney Spears vocals on top of it (it could mean a lot of things like a mash-up, remix, for her upcoming song). . Anyways, finding this track has been impossible online, as most streaming websites like Youtube and others have deleted this upload because of copyright infringement. Has anyone else heard this rumor?

As for David Guetta working with Britney... A lot of people were speculating that they would be working together because he is in hot demand and it would probably make sense. But this rumor also came up short... However, I have read that David Guetta wouldn't mind working on a Britney Spears track, only if they can manage the time.

So my conclusions to these rumors?

Currently false...

But we'll know more information while the release date of her supposed March 15 album creeps up. As for now, her first single off that album, Hold it Against Me, is produced by Dr. Luke (Ke$ha Tik Tok; Katy Perry California Gurls) and Max Martin, and they have been said to be working on more than just one song for the album.

Update: It's been said that, Max Martin, Dr. Luke, Darkchild (Rodney Jerkins), Stargate, Fraser T. Smith, and Bloodshy & Avant will all be producing songs on the album... so that pretty much leaves little room for Deadmau5 or David Guetta. Maybe in the future perhaps.

Deadmau5 - 4x4 = 12

Style: Electo Tech, Dubstep, Progressive, Minimal
Pros: Various genre dance music.
Cons: I already had half the songs before I bought this album.
Overview: This is a tough album to review because there are songs that I like, and then there are songs that I do not like (Yes, it's as simple as that). Deadmau5, has managed to put a song out for almost every genre in electronic music, which is a great feat for an album. And yes he is dipping into the hot, of-the-moment, dubstep. So overall, I did enjoy this album even though I will be skipping over some songs the next time I play it.
Top Songs: Animal Rights; Right this Second; Everything Before
3.35 out of 5 (around there anyway)

Deadmau5 Creating Songs for the Game Minecraft?

Deadmau5, what??? Well, apparently Deadmau5 plays that Minecraft game so much (or at least taken an interest) that he's created some temp music for the game (just for fun I assume). Who knows if these songs will end up in the game (or can players just upload them? I don't play this game so..) So here's to all you Minecraft geeks who want a little Deadmau5 music while playing...

Black Eyed Peas 'The Time' Sampling Deadmau5?

No this isn't a mash up...

Well according to Deadmau5's Facebook post, the pop music group, the Black Eyed Peas have done it again (remember Adam Freeland's obvious sample a couple years ago?), and sampled an electronic music artist for one of their songs without their permission. Only this time (it's The Time, hah), the sample isn't too obvious.

Deadmau5 claims the song that it was taken from was his remix of the Medina song, You and I. On his Facebook post he provides further detail and even including waveforms which line up perfectly, except for a bit of compression on the Black Eyed Peas' song.

"the phases in the kick drum lined up.. which isnt the most rare occurance in the world of "the same f*ckin kick over and over and over again"... but enough to give it a closer look for sure. Then that similar reversed highat at the end of every 2nd bar was there again."

Stolen drum beats and high hats are hard to prove, but I guess Deadmau5 really just wants recognition of electronic music sampling going on in pop music.

"This isnt calling the black eyed peas out at all. i rather enjoy that minimal bit of the tune... (however the 80's remake vocals can f*ck off and die) This is just another interesting factoid i keep finding about sampling and electronic music... which is clearley prevalent and welcomed (when used properly) in this genre of music no doubt!"
