Spring 2014 is here what better way to celebrate that to list he most overplayed songs on the radio... Spring 2014 edition.

10) Zedd feat. Hayley Williams - Stay the Night Zedd has really become popular in the past couple of years... good for him.
9) Jason Derulo feat. 2 Chains - Talk Dirty For a song that came out a while ago... it's doing pretty well now.
8) One Republic - Counting Stars Another song that was released a while ago getting a lot of airplay now.
7) American Authors - Best Day of My Life I feel like I hear this song all the time... maybe it's just in my head.
6) Lorde - Team I love this song... though the radio loves it way too much. She should start her sets with this song.
5) The Chainsmokers - #SELFIE Every year needs a Gangnam Style.
4) Bastille - Pompeii Like this band... though the radio plays their songs too much.
3) Katy Perry feat. Juicy J - Dark Horse Of course, Katy Perry makes this list.
2) Pitbull feat. Ke$ha - Timber Pitbull + Ke$ha = one overplayed song
1) Pharrell Williams - Happy Well, it should be no surprise that a song so catchy would top this list.

With Dance music as the new normal it wasn't to hard to compile this list.  What's surprising though, is that Pop Dance king David Guetta, managed not to grace this special list.

10) Calvin Harris - Sweet Nothing What better way to start this list than by the artist who is seemingly everywhere at the moment.
9) Armin van Buuren - This Is What It Feels Like A more Pop sounding Armin song... I'm pretty sure it's paying off well.
8) Mat Zo & Porter Robinson - Easy The collaboration of the two monster kids brought a big anthem.
7) Krewella - Alive Is it weird that I enjoy their DJ sets more that their original music?
6) Zedd - Clarity "Why are you my Clarity?"
5) Calvin Harris - I Need You Love This was definitely Calvin Harris' biggest year.
4) Icona Pop feat. Charli XCX - I Love It I'll admit, I don't care for this song even though I like Charli XCX.
3) Lana Del Rey - Summertime Sadness (Cedric Gervais Remix) It's pretty crazy that a remix is having so much mainstream airplay.
2) Avicii - Wake Me Up Avicii takes a risk... and it pays off well. I've heard this song on many, many different stations.

2013 is coming to a close and what better way to celebrate than by listing the most overplayed songs of the year.

Just off the list: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - Thrift Shop; a bunch of Imagine Dragon songs including Radioactive, It's Time, and Demons; Rihanna - Stay; and the song that was never really played on the radio, but everyone talked about for some reason Ylvis - The Fox.

10) Avicii - Wake Me Up This Dance Country combo has made this song playable on a lot of different stations.
9) Katy Perry - Roar Katy Perry is back this year... what would a list like this be without a Katy Perry song?
8) AWOLNATION - Sail This song is a couple of years old... however in the past year it's been kept alive by countless parodies and an awesome cat video.
7) Miley Cyrus - Wrecking Ball Well, she did make a lot of noise this year, unfortunately it wasn't for her music... But because of it, they play this song all the time.
6) Capital Cities - Safe and Sound When I first heard this song, I liked it. But after the millionth time... it kinda weighs on you.
5) Lorde - Royals This talented 17 year old truly broke out this year... and this song is the reason why.
4) Bruno Mars - Locked Out of Heaven Released in 2012, I still feel this song is in heavy rotation.

10) Fitz And The Tantrums - Out of My League One of those catchy Indie Pop songs that is getting a lot of airplay.
9) Lorde - Royals Another artist that has a very much Indie vibe that's been taken to the mainstream level.
8) Robin Thicke ft. T.I. and Pharrell - Blurred Lines Yes, he has a new song out, but this Song of the Summer is still heavy in rotation.
7) Rihanna ft. Mikky Ekko - Stay Surprised a Rihanna song is on this list?
6) Lana Del Rey - Summertime Sadness (Cedric Gervais Remix) I didn't think a Dance remix would be making this list... but since Dance music is now Pop...

Summer 2013 is upon us. So, I guess it's time to release the list of most overplayed songs on the radio, Summer 2013 edition.

10) Macklemore & Ryan Lewis feat. Ray Dalton - Can't Hold US I guess Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are doing pretty well.  Pretty epic video.
9) Bruno Mars - When I Was Your Man One of those songs that's been out for a while, but has gradually built more and more airplay.
8) AWOLNATION - Sail Speaking of a song that's been out for a while...
7) Imagine Dragons - Radioactive Imagine Dragons have done exceptionally well the past year.
6) Rihanna feat. Mikky Ekko - Stay As with most Rihanna songs, she gets heavy airplay.
5) Daft Punk feat. Pharrell Williams - Get Lucky I like this song... and yes, it's everywhere.
4) Capital Cities - Safe and Sound Maybe it's a California thing, but I've heard this song way too much.  Liked it at first, now I can't stand it.

Summer 2013 is upon us. So, I guess it's time to release the list of most overplayed Dance songs of the Summer. You've probably heard of all these songs, especially since most of them crossed over to Pop radio.  Yes, I'm pretty tired of these songs.

10) Eric Prydz - Everyday Great song, I didn't want to put it on this list... but I do hear it a lot.
9) Style of Eye & Tom Staar - After Dark  The first of many similar sounding club music to make this list.
8) Nicky Romero & Nervo - Like Home It's been a huge year for these two artists... and now they have lots of airplay.
7) Tritonal ft. Cristina Soto - Still With Me (Seven Lions Remix) For a song that came out almost a year ago, I still hear it a lot... Maybe even more now that when it came out. Though, I admit, it's a really good song.
6) Mat Zo & Porter Robinson - Easy Take two of the hottest rising talent in the past year and this is what you get... an anthem... and a cool animated video.
5) Armin van Buuren feat. Trevor Guthrie - This Is What It Feels Like This song was destined to anthem-Pop-crossover status.

Spring 2013 is here, and what better way to celebrate than to go through the 10 Most Overplayed Songs of Spring 2013.  Though, I think this list might be changing soon, as I've recently noticed a lot of new songs debuting on the radio.

10) Baauer - Harlem Shake Not necessarily on the radio that much, but I just had to put this on here. You understand.
9) Justin Timberlake feat. Jay Z - Suit & Tie Not exactly being as overplayed as I would think, but it's getting heavy buzz and airplay.
8) AWOLNATION - Sail This song came out a while ago, but it's now getting a whole lot of airplay.
7) Imagine Dragons - Radioactive One of the hot new acts to blow up in the past year.  This is actually their second song on this list.
6) Of Monsters and Men - Little Talks Actually, a pretty cool music video.
5) Imagine Dragons - It's Time Another reason why Imagine Dragons has become big in the past year.
4) will.i.am feat. Britney Spears - Scream & Shout I'm sorry, but I hate spelling his name, is it supposed to be cool or something?
3) Taylor Swift - I Knew You Were Trouble Taylor Swift doing a very pop song... uh oh. this could be trouble... I can't stop but think of the goat remix of this song, every time I hear it.

It's 2013 and now it's time to release the most overplayed songs on the radio of Winter. If you're wondering why this isn't released in December of last year when Winter actually starts... it's because there's way too much posts going on here then and plus there is only so many days of technical Winter in December.

Anyways, here are the top 10 songs being played way too much, right now in the Winter of 2013.

10) Pitbull - Don't Stop the Party Is this what it's like in Miami?
9) Justin Bieber ft. Nicky Minaj - Beauty And A Beat  Probably the only Bieber song I like... thank's Zedd... I actually like the video.
8) Taylor Swift - I Knew You Were Trouble Are they trying to turn Taylor into a Lana Del Rey type? It doesn't work in this video. I actually didn't know this was a Taylor Swift song... sounds a bit Poppy Electronic don't you think?
7) Mumford and Sons - I Will Wait This song has slowly been creeping up on this list over the past couple of months.
6) Swedish House Mafia ft. John Martin - Don't You Worry Child I thought this song was already overplayed in the Dance world last year... Now, it's crossed over to Pop radio... here we go.
5) Alicia Keys - Girl On Fire The chorus of this song gets easily stuck in your head.
4) Rihanna - Diamonds Well, she releases an album a year, so don't be surprised that she makes this list a lot. This song would probably be number one if I released this list a month ago.
3) will.i.am ft. Britney Spears - Scream & Shout Even without the Black Eyed Peas will.i.am makes this list.
2) Bruno Mars - Locked Out of Heaven Doesn't it remind you of The Police? If you don't know who The Police is go home and lock yourself in the closet and don't come out.

2012 was sure a big year for music.  Especially songs that got way overplayed.  The top 5 of this list was very easy to make, but for numbers 6 through 10... there were a lot of songs that could easily replace them.

Just off the list: The Lumineers - Ho Hey, Black Keys - Gold on the Ceiling, Rihanna - Diamonds, M83 - Midnight City, Linkin Park - Burn It Down, Nicki Minaj - Starships and of course, Justin Bieber - Boyfriend, As Long As You Love Me

You may be surprised that the Bieb's himself didn't make the top 10. Yes, three of his songs were played way too much... but these 10 songs were played so much more.

Here are the 10 Most Overplayed Songs of 2012:

10) Ke$ha - Die Young A song that came a little late in the year, but nonetheless it's a Ke$ha song, so it quickly rose to the overplayed list.  Expect it's overplayedness to continue on well into 2013
9) Rihanna - Where Have You Been What would this list be without Rihanna, she puts out an album every year, so at least one of them has got to make this list.
8) Ellie Goulding - Lights One of those songs that took a while for the world to catch on, even though we already caught on a year ago.  Once the radio got hold of it, there was no letting go.
7) Katy Perry - Wide Awake Of course Katy Perry will grace this list... the last song to be released from her Teenage Dream album from 2010. It's actually a pretty amazing feat.
6) Fun. - Some Nights The first of two Fun. songs to get on this list. This is my favorite song from them. Unfortunately, the radio killed it. Then killed it again.
5) One Direction - What Makes You Beautiful Come on, to not include this boy band from Britain would be sacrilegious. This was one one of the songs that ruled Summer everywhere.
4) Fun. - We Are Young Fun. sure had a big year. Their two songs got major air play... and We Are Young by far, is their biggest most overplayed song.
3) Carly Rae Jepsen - Call Me Maybe Bubble gum Pop at it's Bubble-ist.  Call Me Maybe was the song of Summer that just got stuck in your brain everywhere you turned.
2) Gotye feat. (Kimbra) - Somebody That I Used To Know This song got so annoying. I couldn't take how much this song was played.  It's a shame because it is a great song.  For the first half of the year, I didn't think any other song would have topped this... until one did.

It's finally Fall and you know what that means... It's time to announce the most overplayed songs on the radio... Fall edition.

10) Demi Lovato - Give Your Heart a Break I don't know if it's because of the X-Factor or just that it's about time this song has been overplayed.
9) Calvin Harris feat. Ne-Yo - Let's Go Calvin Harris is getting some major love from the radio these days.
8) Mumford & Sons - I Will Wait This band has been gaining a lot steam lately.
7)Youngblood Hawke - We Come Running Pop Indie Rock, wooh... I guess the real reason this song is on this list is because their chorus of "oh's" sound exactly like Swedish House Mafia's Save The World Tonight.
6) Owl City & Carly Rae Jepsen - Good Time Poppy Dancey Cheesy Bubble Gum Music and somemore "oh's" in the chorus.
5) Linkin Park - Burn It Down Of course Linkin Park makes this list... One of the few rock bands in a sea of Pop, that still make the overplayed songs list.
4) Psy - Gangnam Style Phenomenon... The only reason this isn't higher, is because it isn't really played on the radio enough, but when I do hear it, it feels like I've heard it soooo much already.
3) Ellie Goulding - Lights I love this song, but when Pop radio decides to give it a whirl, they whirl it over and over and over, and over again.
2) Fun. - Some Nights Perhaps my favorite song off their album... Unfortunately, the radio is killing this song.
1) Justin Bieber feat. Big Sean - As Long You Love Me Of course the Bieb's would top this list.  I'll admit the music production is tight and so is the music video... However, I am soo tired of this song.

10 Most Overplayed Dance Songs, Summer 2012

So after listening to lots of DJ mixes, internet radio, and Satellite radio I realized that certain Dance songs get heavy play. So, like my Most Overplayed Songs lists, I've decided it was time to make one just about Dance music.

My biggest caveat about making this list is where I would draw the line between Dance music and Pop music.  There's a lot of music on the radio that is Pop music first, but does have a Dance music back bone.  For instance, Rihanna, who's teamed up with Calvin Harris on We Found Love, that's like a grey area, but I would sway that more towards the Pop side of things and be kept off this list... but the Chuckie remix of that song I would place on this list.  I would also tend to think that a Dance record that breaks through to the Pop side would also be on this list.  Then again, I can't really tell you where I would draw the line... this is my list.

With that said, if you're a DJ or an aspiring one, these are the Dance songs I have heard the most this Summer.  Which maybe a good or bad thing, depending on your crowd.  However, I would think twice about playing all these songs in a set, especially back to back... to back to back.

9) Deadmau5 - The Veldt I like this song from the mau5 man.
8) Swedish House Mafia - Greyhound Oh, what money can do to make an awesome video.
7) Dirty South & Thomas Gold feat. Kate Elsworth - Eyes Wide Open One of those songs that has anthem status written all over it.
6) Skrillex - Bangarang Of course Skrillex has to make this list.
5) M83 - Midnight City (Eric Prydz Remix) Love this song, but so do a lot of other people... Simple as the remix is, Eric Prydz is back with another Summer anthem.
4) Ivan Gough & Feenixpawl feat. Gergi Kay - In My Mind (Axwell Remix) Such a festival song.
3) Gareth Emery feat. Christina Novelli - Concrete Angel Everytime I hear this song I associate it with Tiësto.
2) Afrojack & Shermanology - Can't Stop Me If you haven't heard this song by now... you're kinda out of the Dance and even Pop music loop.
1) David Guetta feat. Sia - Titanium Who else would top this list? This song is played everywhere, way too much. Though actually, my favorite song off the first Disc of Nothing But the Beat.

It's Summer time and what better time to kick off the Most Overplayed Songs on the Radio Summer 2012 Edition. As with every one of these lists, this is not a list of songs I hate, but songs that the radio overplays, and makes me not enjoy it as much.  You know what I'm talking about.

10) M83 - Midnight City Love this song, love this video, but seriously radio, M83 does have other songs.
9) Nicki Minaj - Starships I don't really think the video matches the song all that much.  I guess I had a different idea in mind.
8) Rihanna - Where Have You Been Calvin Harris co-produced this track along with Dr. Luke and Cirkut. Anyways, Rihanna has been making this list a lot in the past year.
7) Grouplove - Tongue Tied One of those Indie bands that crosses over to Pop. Thus, getting heavy rotation.
6) The Black Keys - Gold on the Ceiling I like this song, but with every song from The Black Keys, it gets played a lot.
5) Katy Perry - Wide Awake All I can say is that her Teenage Dream album is pretty successful considering Katy's been on this list so many times over in the past two years.
4) Justin Bieber - Boyfriend They didn't really play Baby on the radio here all that much, but Justin Timberlake-ish Boyfriend, it's all over the place.
3) Gotye (feat. Kimbra)- Somebody That I Used to Know This song is on overkill. Was on overkill a few months ago. I like this song, but Gotye does have other songs, radio people.
2) One Direction - What Makes You Beautiful Damn boy bands.
1) Carly Rae Jepson - Call Me Maybe Where did this girl come from? She came out of almost nowhere and her song is being played a lot. Video is actually kind of funny.

It's Spring 2012 and what better way to start it out with the Most Overplayed Songs on the Radio. Well, most of these should be of no surprise as you probably have also heard them on the radio a lot. Hey, it takes dedication to listen to a lot of radio to configure this list.

Here are the 10 Most Overplayed Songs on the Radio, Spring 2012 Edition:

10) Coldplay - Charlie Brown I like this video... I think it's the colors damaging my brain. The melody of this song is so catchy that it stays in your brain for a very long time.
9) Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa (feat Bruno Mars - Young Wild and Free I actually kinda like this song. But it's on this list because multiple genre radio stations play this song over and over again.
8) Coldplay - Paradise "Para, Para, Paradise." Yes, this is Coldplay's second song on this list.
7) Foo Fighters - Walk Speaking of Coldplay, there's a jab or reference to them in this video.
6) Red Hot Chili Peppers - The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie Back on this list again after just missing Winter 2012's list.
5) Adele - Set Fire to the Rain This list can't be complete without an Adele song. She's been ruling the charts the past year.
4) Drake (feat. Rihanna) - Take Care I'm just surprised the music video isn't already out yet.
3) Katy Perry - The One That Got Away Yup, Katy Perry still on this list. No Surprise here.
2) Gotye (feat. Kimbra) - Somebody That I Used to KnowWow, the views for this video shot up a lot from a couple of months ago. And so did it's ranking on this list.

It's the new year and what better way to start it off than by making a list of the most overplayed songs currently on the radio, Winter 2012 edition. I have nothing against most of these songs, just that the radio plays them a lot, a whole lot.

10) Gotye (feat. Kimbra)- Somebody That I Used to Know I actually kinda like this song. However I realized that a lot of the stations here play this song, so expect this song to rise in the next month.
9) Selena Gomez & The Scene - Love You Like A Love Song It has that farty bassline... and it's way too catchy for it's own good.
8) Gym Class Heroes (feat. Adam Levine) - Stereo Hearts "My heart's a stereo" can only be heard so many times before it is deeply ingrained in your psyche and you start singing it randomly without any cause.
7) Rihanna (feat. Calvin Harris - We Found Love 119 million views and counting
6) Adele - Someone Like You Adele's still going strong into 2012. The first of two Adele songs on this list.
5) Adele - Set Fire to the Rain Adele must be doing really well these past couple of years for her to have a lot of overplayed songs on the radio.
4) Katy Perry - The One That Got Away Probably the least enticing Katy Perry song to be released, making it rise quicker on the overplayed list.
