Album Review: Lady Gaga - Artpop

Lady Gaga - Artpop

Style: Pop Dance
Pros: Zedd and Madeon make a contribution
Cons: I'm not the biggest Lady Gaga fan.
Overview: As I stated above, I'm not the biggest Lady Gaga fan, but I've grown to like some of her songs.  When I heard that Zedd and Madeon were going to be a part of her album, I was slightly enticed. Lyricly, Artpop isn't my thing, but then again I'm more about the music production... which as you can expect... is pretty good. The best song on this album is Aura, which is part crazy and part fun... exactly what you'd expect from a collaboration of Zedd and Infected Mushroom. However, this puts me at a bind because I would rather listen to most of these songs again with less vocals, which I think, takes away from the awesome music production.  In fact, the only song where I think the vocals work really well is on Do What U Want (R. Kelly y'all). Artpop is supposed to be a some haute fashion forward thinking album from Gaga... Well, I guess for Gaga fans, it is.
Top Songs: Aura, Do What U Want, Gypsy, Applause
