10 Most Overplayed Dance Songs of 2012

So what songs make the Most Overplayed Dance Songs of 2012?

Well, this is where the line draws grey because you might assume that songs like Gangnam Style and Beauty and A Beat should make this list.  However, my exclusion of those songs and other songs is because they are Pop first, who just happen to have a dance track.  Yes, you may argue that Beauty and A Beat is co-produced by Zedd... that's the grey area... because to me, I still feel it's more of a Justin Bieber song than would be Zedd. Anyways, enough about semantics and rules, on to the songs that were played most in the EDM world, the clubs, and just about everywhere... here are the 10 Most Overplayed Dance Songs of 2012:

Just off this list: Porter Robinson - Language, deadmau5 - The Veldt, Dirty South & Thomas Gold feat. Kate Elsworth - Eyes Wide Open, Skrillex - Bangarang, David Guetta - Just One Last Time, Martin Solveig - The Night Out

10) Zedd - Spectrum
Zedd had a huge year and a huge anthem that crossed over to the Pop world.

9) M83 - Midnight City (Eric Prydz Remix)
The original song was in heavy rotation in the past year... add a good remix that sounds a lot like the original, and we got an anthem that is heard in every club.

8) Cazzette - Beam Me Up
For the longest time I didn't know this was a Cazzette song... I guess I though it was a Pop dance song or something and never really payed attention to it.

7) Gareth Emery feat. Christina Novelli - Concrete Angel
Almost every other time I listen to Satellite radio this is on.

6) Tiësto & Wolfgang Gartner feat. Luciana - We Own The Night
Wow, this song was played so much this past Summer. Reason why Tiësto is still on top.

5) Afrojack & Shermanology - Can't Stop Me
Afrojack sure knows how to make those Pop crossover Dance songs.

4) Ivan Gough & Feenixpawl feat. Georgi Kay - In My Mind (Axwell Mix)
One of the biggest anthems of the year... So of course it's going to get played, and played some more.

3) Calvin Harris feat. Ne-Yo - Let's Go
It's amazing to see Calvin Harris' popularity rise over the years...

2) David Guetta feat. Sia - Titanium
Released in late 2011... Heavily played in 2012. This song was not only in heavy rotation in the club world, but also in heavy rotation on corporate Pop stations.  Guetta is the biggest Dance - Pop crossover DJ.

1) Swedish House Mafia feat. John Martin - Don't You Worry Child
I hear this song way to much.  Probably the song that best encapsulates 2012. I'm sure this will be played this New Year's.
