10 Most Overplayed Songs on the Radio, Summer 2012

It's Summer time and what better time to kick off the Most Overplayed Songs on the Radio Summer 2012 Edition. As with every one of these lists, this is not a list of songs I hate, but songs that the radio overplays, and makes me not enjoy it as much.  You know what I'm talking about.

Updated July 29: Had to, they were playing certain songs way too much.

10) M83 - Midnight City Love this song, love this video, but seriously radio, M83 does have other songs.
9) Nicki Minaj - Starships I don't really think the video matches the song all that much.  I guess I had a different idea in mind.
8) Rihanna - Where Have You Been Calvin Harris co-produced this track along with Dr. Luke and Cirkut. Anyways, Rihanna has been making this list a lot in the past year.
7) Grouplove - Tongue Tied One of those Indie bands that crosses over to Pop. Thus, getting heavy rotation.
6) The Black Keys - Gold on the Ceiling I like this song, but with every song from The Black Keys, it gets played a lot.
5) Katy Perry - Wide Awake All I can say is that her Teenage Dream album is pretty successful considering Katy's been on this list so many times over in the past two years.
4) Justin Bieber - Boyfriend They didn't really play Baby on the radio here all that much, but Justin Timberlake-ish Boyfriend, it's all over the place.
3) Gotye (feat. Kimbra)- Somebody That I Used to Know This song is on overkill. Was on overkill a few months ago. I like this song, but Gotye does have other songs, radio people.
2) One Direction - What Makes You Beautiful Damn boy bands.
1) Carly Rae Jepson - Call Me Maybe Where did this girl come from? She came out of almost nowhere and her song is being played a lot. Video is actually kind of funny.
