Tangled Bests Harry Potter

Disney's animated epic, Tangled, beat out the kid from Hogwarts this weekend, as Harry Potter 7 Part 1 slipped to second place. This is good news for Disney, even though the newest report for Tangled puts it's budget at $260 million, making it the most expensive animated film to date (I think this is even more than Avatar).

The only new wide released movie to open this weekend, The Warriors Way made a dismal $3 million against it's reported $42 million budget.

Weekend Estimates:
  1. Tangled: $21.5 million ($96.5 million total) Budget: $260 million
  2. Harry Potter 7 Part 1: $16.7 million ($244.2 million total) Budget: $250 million
  3. Burlesque: $6.1 million ($27 million total) Budget: $55 million
  4. Unstoppable: $6.1 million ($68.9 million total) Budget: $100 million
  5. Love and Other Drugs: $5.7 million ($22.6 million total) Budget: $30 million

**on a side note, I am going to be moving my box office predictions to whole other site soon... boxofficepredictionsonline, So Check that out soon...

The Warrior's Way
Flop Factor: 75%
Hit: Ninjas and Cowboys.
Flop: No reviews as of yet... Slim marketing appeal... Is this a foreign film or what?

My Predictions:

Harry Potter 7 Part 1: $27 million
Megamind: $9 million
Unstoppable: $7 million
The Warrior's Way: $6 million
