Weekend Estimates:
  1. The Town: $23.8 million ($23,8 million total) Budget: $37 million
  2. Easy A: $18.2 million ($18.2 million total) Budget: $8 million
  3. Devil: $12.6 million ($12.6 million total) Budget: n/a

  5. Alpha and Omega: $9.2 million ($9.2 million total) Budget: n/a

Previous post----
A few new movies hit theaters this weekend.

The Town

Why it might be a hit: 91% so far on Rottentomatoes.
Why it might tank: The Town... ran out of names for a movie title?

Alpha and Omega
Why it might be a hit: I don't know why.
Why it might tank: Looks like a poorly marketed animated film.

Devil
Why it might be a hit: cranking up for the Halloween horror season.
Why it might tank: Well, it probably didn't cost a lot, so it might not tank... It mostly takes place in an elevator, how expensive can that be?

Easy A

Why it might be a hit: Teen comedy that's getting good reviews for a change.
Why it might tank: The commercials don't really make me want to see it.

My Predictions:
The Town: $24 million
Easy A: $15 million
Resident Evil: Afterlife: $12 million
Devil: $12 million
Alpha and Omega: $8 million
