Movie Review: Inglourious Basterds

Inglourious Basterds
Synopsis: A daft group of Jewish Allied solders plot to topple Nazi control during the Second World War.
Pros: Quentin Tarantino's dialogue back in good form. Christoph Waltz plays a great antagonist.
Cons: Some people may be too sensitive about the film's reinterpretation of this part of history.
Overview: From the opening scene I immediately thought this was a Spaghetti western (which made it confusingly awesome). There really isn't all that much action in this war-time movie. However, Tarantino's great dialogue writing and character development makes for a very intense picture. Tarantino is definitely in top form here. Christoph Waltz, the bad guy in the movie, is great. It will be interesting to see the Academy Award for best supporting actor go to a villian for the third year in a roll.
