Album Review: Them Crooked Vultures

Them Crooked Vultures
Style: Queens of the Stone Age meets Foo Fighters meets Led Zeppelin.
Pros: Good rock music.
Cons: Not specifically my genre of music.
Overview: My first thought when listening to this album was that it sounded like Queens of the Stone Age... then I found out well... that's because the band is made up of Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age), John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin), and Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, Nirvana). My second thought was that this sounded like a band that I could see playing at Coachella in the daytime. And sure enough, they are scheduled to play at Coachella 2010.

As for the album, I do like it, even though I am not the best target audience for this album. The songs are all very similar, and it was hard for me to listen to the album all the way through (the multiple times I've listened to it already) without taking a break once in a while. However, each song is good on its own. Thus, I don't have a top songs list for this album.
