The Best Music Festivals

You have a lot of money, and just decided you wanted to attend every music festival possible? Or maybe you're an up-and-coming band that wants to get noticed? Well, here are the best music festivals in the world. And although I am featuring a lot of music festivals in North America (since I hail from there), check them all out anyway and plan your next trip accordingly. So onto the best music festivals in the world:
Best music festivals in Southern California

JANUARY

NAMM
NAMM Website
Anaheim, CA
NAMM is not necessarily a festival, but a music convention where thousands of new products are introduced and demonstrated for music industry professionals.

FEBRUARY

Noise Pop

Happening at the end of February, Noise Pop is a celebration of indie music, film and art.

MARCH

WMC
WMC Website
Miami, FL
Happening in early March, the Winter Music Conference is the biggest electronic music conference in the United States. A lot of the DJ's and vendors attend the music conference annually. It's a shame that WMC and Ultra Music Festival split... because WMC now seems more like NAMM.

SXSW
SXSW Website
Austin, TX
During mid-March, many artists showcase their work in music, film, and art. This is a great platform for up and coming rock musicians, and other artists.

Ultra Music Festival
Miami, FL
Ultra Music Festival Website
Now that Ultra and WMC have decided to split, Ultra Music Festival takes place late in March. Ultra is a mega three day electronic dance event with some of the biggest names in dance music.

APRIL

Coachella
Coachella Website
Indio, CA
Perhaps the biggest music festival on the west coast of the United States. Thousands upon thousands attend every year, to watch artists like Prince, Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, and more perform.

Stagecoach
Stagecoach Website
Indio, CA
I feel obliged to put this in here since it is from the makers of Coachella. And with that said, Stagecoach features the biggest in country music and takes place on the same Empire Polo Fields that Coachella takes place, but only a weekend later.

JUNE

Bonnaroo
Bonnaroo Website
Manchester, TN
Probably the biggest music festival on the East Coast, Bonnaroo is a 4 day event that features a very diverse array of music: rock, country, folk, world, reggae, bluegrass, electronic, and many other types of music.

Sonar
Sonar Website
Barcelona, Spain
Sonar is a music festival that features the most cutting edge artists and DJs in music and technology. Happening right in the middle of the city, it makes for a grand modern feel which is a welcome away from being on grassy open grounds.

Glastonbury
Glastonbury Website
Pilton, England, United Kingdom
Glastonbury is considered one of the biggest music festivals in the world especially featuring artists like Bruce Springsteen, Jay-Z, The Who, and much more. Tickets usually sell out in the first few days or hours of being released, even before any sort of line up is announced. It is the Coachella of the United Kingdom, or actually... Coachella is considered the Glastonbury of the United States.

Electric Daisy Carnival
EDC website
Las Vegas, Nevada
Probably the biggest Electronic Dance event in the west (well United States West in case you're from a different coutnry... EDC has gotten even bigger as it unexceptedly moved from Los Angeles to the city of sin.
