Jonas Brothers Fall Short

In a very unexpected move, the Jonas Brothers movie, Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience, debuted in second place. Yes, in second. What? You ask... Theorists and analysts are baffled, as the hottest tween band of the moment, underwhelmed every prediction possible, even mine. Last year's Hannah Montana 3D movie grossed $31 million for first place in about half the amount of theaters. Ouch!

Meanwhile, Slumdog Millionaire took third, surpassing the $100 million mark, thanks to its Oscar wins. And another movie that is still sticking around, is Liam Neeson's Taken, as it also crossed the $100 million mark.

Weekend Estimates:
Tyler Perry's Madea Goes to Jail: $16.5 million ($64.9 million total)
Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience: $12.7 million ($12.7 million total)
Slumdog Millionaire: $12.2 million ($115.1 million total)
Taken: $9.6 million ($107.9 million total)
He's Just Not That Into You: $5.9 million ($78.6 million total)

My Predictions:
Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience: $38 million
Tyler Perry's Madea Goes to Jail: $16 million
Slumdog Millionaire: $8 million
Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li: $7 million
Taken: $7 million
