Album Review: The Killers - Day & Age

After listening to latest Killers' album a few times now, I am actually quite disappointed despite the fact that it is getting pretty good reviews from the media. I'm sorry to say this even though they worked with one of my favorite producers, Stuart Price. Especially since I enjoyed their first release, Human, too. I was in awed and hoped for more that was to forth come from the album. However, Human, remains the most interesting track on the album. The rest of the album is good, but I wish they would have pushed it more. There are a few songs where it feels like I just walked into a dive bar, and the local band was playing. And while their next best, or shall I say "catchiest song," is quite good, I can't help think of the fact that it has a lot of vested interest in pop elements. Day & Age is a good album, but it falls short of Hot Fuss.
