The 2010 movie season is done, now on to the Coolest Movie Trailers of 2011... Here they are so far:
Battle: Los Angeles (Trailer) March 11
I like the fact that this trailer is in a different style from most trailers even though the plot has been overdone.
The Tree of Life (Trailer) May 27
Director Terrence Malick back at it again... It'll probably long and boring and overtly poetic, but this trailer makes me a little teary eyed...
Super 8 (Teaser) June 6
Perfect Teaser, doesn't show a lot, but keeps us very interested. Name dropping J.J. Abrams and Steven Spielberg helps a little too.
Super 8 (Trailer) June 6
I was skeptical about seeing a full trailer that told more about the movie... however, this just makes me want to see Super 8 more even though it looks heavily influenced by Spielberg...
Cowboys and Aliens (Trailer) July 29
Awesome, a western, with some aliens? what? Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, Olivia Wilde and directed by Jon Favreau... no way... Spielberg's name on this too?

10 Most Overplayed Songs of Fall, 2010 |
10 Most Overplayed Songs on the Radio, Fall 2010
Well it's officially Fall (or Autumn as others may call it) and it is time for my seasonal list of the most overplayed songs currently on the radio. This list is good for the music industry, as being overplayed means they are getting lots of money, while it may be bad for us because they are driving these songs to death. Oh well, on to the list of the most Overplayed Songs on the radio, Fall 2010:
10) La Roux - Bulletproof
I am soo tired of this song. Wasn't this song released last year??? Whatever the case, they play this song a lot now. Cool video though.
9) Taio Cruz feat. Ludacris - Break Your Heart
Was huge this Summer. "Break, break, bruh, break break, your heart" is still heavily carrying over to the Fall season.
8) Katy Perry - California Gurls
Now that Summer is over, I'll admit that this is the most overplayed song of Summer. The radio has definitely played this song to death and beyond the grave. EMI sucks with embedding, so enjoy this clip...
7) Katy Perry - Teenage Dream
Katy Perry is back, with another song determined to climb even higher on this list as Fall gets underway. EMI, the, record label responsible for this song, doesn't enable embedding for their music videos... LAME!
6) Usher feat. Pitbull - DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love
Usher is back on this list again... woo. He must be making lots of dough.
5) Eminem - Not Afraid
This guy is back, and apparently the radio loves him as if he never left. This is just the first of two appearing on this list. Video is kinda weird though, watch the whole thing.
4) Taio Cruz - Dynamite
"I throw my hands up in the air sometimes, Singing AYO! Baby let's go."--something like that, anyway.
3) Far East Movement - Like a G6
Where the hell did these guys come from? They are being played all over the radio all of a sudden.
2) Bruno Mars - Just the Way You Are
I'm sorry, they play this song just too much.
1) Eminem feat. Rihanna - Love the Way You Lie
Yup, Eminem is back in full force. I have a feeling this will only get more overplayed as time goes on. Cha-ching! Wait a minute... Megan Fox is in this video? oooh! and that guy from Lost (no not that guy).

9 Things I've learned in my first year of Blogging. |
Wooo!
This month marks the one year anniversary of the greatest website blog ever: Motion Select, of course. Thank you to all those that have come across this blog and read a few things here or there. And speaking of things, yes things... here are the 9 things that I have learned over the course of the year:
1) There is no money in blogging.
Really, mostly everything has been written about and there is already a blog out there. And yes, I've read books on blogging and have visited the many posts from problogger and copyblogger, but really, it's a job to make money from blogging.
2) It's tough keeping up with a blog.
It is quite hard to keep posting items when you have a job and many other things going on in your life. It's also tough coming up with article ideas and concepts... that takes some time.
3) Analytics is the way to go.
I used to post more items, but due to the fact that I a lot of my posts were news items from other websites (even though I found them interesting), it didn't really bring people to my site. So that's why, if you noticed, I have done a way with a lot of that, especially random movie-news type of stuff.
4) Digg and Stumble Upon.
These are great sites to get your articles noticed. However, don't expect lots of people to click your ads. The good thing about these sites is that the people actually take time to read your articles even though they don't care for ads. Which I'm okay with, since people are actually hitting up my site. I've personally gotten way more people from Stumble Upon than Digg. And I've also learned that Digg's ratings can spike high very quickly, but it also gets buried really quickly. Stumble Upon usually comes back once in a while.
5) Post your own posts.
All the posts that I have come up with myself have done ten times better than the others. So look for more fun lists and experience related type of posts in the future.
6) More posts doesn't mean more attention.
Like I said earlier, now that I am posting less I've gotten more hits. It's because of what I've posted not how much I've posted.
7) People Love Dropping F-Bombs.
Just for the hell of it. It's true and it's funny. You know what I am talking about... people love to flame whatever posts you write.
8) Don't take it too Personally.
I'm sure you've seen people who get all fired up because an opinion differs from their own. Although, it does make for good readership.
9) You should do this for fun.
It does take time out of your life, and unless you devote all your time in trying to figure ways to make money from it, blogging should be something that you like to do. Many people, it seems, try to make money at something they don't want to do because they thought it would be easy.
