Jackass 3D's Huge Opening Weekend

Those guys at Jackass must be making a whole lot of money, since their newest film, Jackass 3D raked in about $50 million this weekend... Yes, $50 million... "Hey kids, you don't have to get an education, just do insanely dumb stunts and people will give you millions for it." --- some bitter person.

Anyways, Jackass 3D now has the record for biggest opening weekend in October, beating that other amazing movie, Scary Movie 3's $48.1 million.

Weekend Estimates
  1. Jackass 3D: $50 million ($50 million total) Budget: $20 million
  2. Red: $22.5 million ($22.5 million total) Budget: $58 million
  3. The Social Network: $11 million ($63.1 million total) Budget: $50 million
  4. Secretariat: $9.5 million ($27.5 million total) Budget: $35 million

Previous post----
Two new movies hit theaters this weekend....

Jackass 3D
Flop factor: 30%
Pros: There's enough adolescent kids that'll make this movie a hit.
Cons: I think critics will pass on this film.

Red
Flop factor: 50%
Pros: Reviews are pretty good... Awesome to see older generations kicking ass.
Cons: Target audience?

My Predictions:
Jackass 3D: $30 million
Red: $17 million
The Social Network: $11 million
Life as We Know It: $8 million
Secretariat: $7 million
