Coachella Vs. Volcano

As all you Coachella fans were gearing up for the biggest music and arts festival this side of the United States, I bet most of you weren't expecting to hear that an Icelandic volcano would erupt and possibly doom your lush weekend extravaganza. Sad to say, but it's true, as Eyjafjallajokull, the volcano that's bursting its top, is spewing massive amount of ash and micro particles over western Europe, causing flights to be grounded in England, France and some of the Nordic countries.

Uh oh, I don't care about that. What about my Coachella weekend? What about Muse and Gorillaz? Well, according to NME, Muse, Gorillaz, Thom York, Florence and the Machine, The Specials, The Temper Trap, and Little Boots, are already in the United States. Phew.

However, the same can't be said for The Cribs, who have already canceled. As for Los Campesinos!, Frightened Rabbit, Bad Lieutenant, Delphic, and Hypnotic Bass Ensemble, they are still unsure if they'll make it.

Airlines say, they hope to be up and running by tomorrow, but according to scientists, the last time Eyjafjallajokull erupted, it lasted for more than a year: December 1821 to January 1823.

Keep updated on the bands at the Coachella Messageboard Here.
