Titans Clash over Easter Weekend

It was no surprise as the remake of Clash of the Titans easily took the number one spot with over $60 million. Thanks to it's rush to the 3D conversion process, which apparently, counted for over 52% of it's total gross, despite only being in 42% of theaters showing the film. --->(You get the idea.)

Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married Too? came in with a strong second place, with just over $30 million. Easily beating it's reported $20 million budget. Tyler Perry still does very well with his market group.

Weekend Estimates:
Clash of the Titans: $61.4 million ($64.1 million total)
Why Did I Get Married Too?: $30.2 million ($30.2 million total)
How to Train Your Dragon: $29.2 million ($92.3 million total)
The Last Song: $16.2 million ($25.6 million total)
Alice in Wonderland: $8.3 million ($309.8 million total)

Previous post-----
A few new movies open this weekend. "Is that really the poster for The Last Song?," was my first thought upon seeing it. Miley Cyrus looks like she's got that ''huh?" look. Anyways, on to the predictions.

Clash of the Titans
Why it might be a hit: They've been marketing this for ages, it seems like.
Why it might tank: It looks all visual effects and minimal story.

The Last Song
Why it might be a hit: From the author of The Notebook. Teenage girls love teenage love stories.
Why it might tank: All the men will be at Clash of the Titans.

Why Did I Get Married Too
Why it might be a hit: Tyler Perry seems to have his demographic down to a science.
Why it might tank: I haven't seen too many advertisements for this film compared to the other two movies hitting theaters.

My Predictions:
Clash of the Titans: $62 million
How to Train Your Dragon: $28 million
Why Did I Get Married Too: $22 million
The Last Song: $14 million
Alice in Wonderland: $10 million
