Shutter Island Tops Second Weekend

Shutter Island managed to beat out newcomers Cop Out and The Crazies for the number one spot. While Avatar managed to break past the $700 million mark, in what may be it's final weekend in 3D as Alice In Wonderland is set to take over next weekend.

Weekend Estimates:
Shutter Island: $22.2 million ($75.1 million total)
Cop Out: $18.6 million ($18.6 million total)
The Crazies: $16.5 million ($16.5 million total)
Avatar: $14 million ($706.9 million total)
Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief: $9.8 million ($71.2 million total)
-----
A couple of movies hit theaters this weekend. This may also be the last weekend to catch up on Avatar in 3D as Alice in Wonderland will be invading next weekend.

Cop Out
Why it might be a hit: Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan, sure seems funny.
Why it might tank: I have the feeling that the funniest parts are in the trailer.

The Crazies

Why it might be a hit: It looks like a more realistic horror film than just guts and gore.
Why it might tank: good zombie-like movies are hard to pull off with being too campy.

My Predictions:
Shutter Island: $24 million
Cop Out: $18 million
The Crazies: $16 million
Avatar: $14 million
Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief: $9 million
