Netflix Review: Sin Nombre

Synopsis: Two stories, one about gang violence in Mexico and the other about the drive to come to the United States.
Pros: Shot well for a low-budget film, solid characters. Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna serve as executive producers.
Cons: Not an upbeat movie.
Overview: Yes, even though it is not an upbeat movie, it is pretty well done (it did win a couple of Sundance awards). It makes you think about your life and the values you have, and also what's going on right across the border in Mexico. Somewhat feels like City of God at times and maybe a little Slumdog Millionaire.
4 out of 5
