Album Review: Ellie Goulding - Halcyon

Ellie Goulding - Halcyon

Style: Indie Pop
Pros: Nice to listen to on a Sunday afternoon.
Cons: Light's is still in heavy rotation on the radio.
Overview: Let me start off by saying that, Ellie Goulding isn't really in the bullseye of music I listen too, but it does cross over onto the target's outer rings.  With her huge success of Lights (that came out over a year ago?) and especially with the Bassnectar remix of that same song, the bar was un-mentionably high for this album.  Actually, I was wondering if she would be known for more than just one song... Halcyon (I always think it has something to do with Orbital whenever I hear that word), is a good listen.  There are a few songs that you can groove to and sing along with her.  Get the deluxe if you can because it has the upbeat Calvin Harris track, I Need Your Love, which might also be on Calvin's album debuting later this month (or you can wait for that).
Top Songs: Anything Could Happen, Figure 8, I Need Your Love
