HARD LA in which M.I.A. was to headline on July 17th, was cancelled this week. The promoters stating instead that they wanted to produce one massive event, HARD Summer Music Festival which is happening on August 7th. They also want to verify that it wasn't "due to the lack of support or the full approval from the personnel at the City of Los Angeles and California State Parks who have signed off on our comprehensive security plan." --So I guess it has nothing to do with the Electric Daisy Carnival fallout?

Actually, I have the feeling that HARD wasn't selling enough tickets for this event. The LA Times even reported a couple weeks ago that tickets for this event were sluggish.

If you were looking to see Die Antwoord, don't fret, they are still playing on Saturday, but now at the El Rey.
