Summer Box Office Up, Attendance Down

This article is just an excuse to display a graph from the New York Times. We all like graphs, yeah? Yah. Anyways, the US Box Office totaled $4.2 billion as compared to last year's $4.18 billion, even despite the fact that attendance was down 4 percent since last summer. So you do the math: they are still making more money. Each studio had hits and also misses. Here's the breakdown (I notice there's no Tropic Thunder or Kung Fu Panda for that matter, but it's a graph, woo):
